Marcus Aurelius, (A.D. 161-180), AE sestertius, issue struck at Rome in A.D.177, (23.84 g), obv. M ANTONINVS AVG GERM SARM TR P XXXI, head laureate to right, rev. around IMP VIIII COS III P P, S C in field, Annona standing to left, holding cornucopiae and grain ears over modius, ship's prow behind, (cf.S.4981, RIC 1218, C.374). Dark even attractive patination, nearly extremely fine and rare in this condition.
