Attica, Athens, (166-57 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.97 g), issued 168-167 B.C., (Thompson date) but probably 136-5 B.C. (revised chronology), obv. head of Athena Parthenos to right wearing triple-crested Athenian helmet, ornamented with Pegasus, rev. owl standing to right, head facing, in erect posture, on prostrate amphora, club, lion's skin and bow in left field, K on amphora, legend across **A QE*, to left lion skin and bow in case, across **HRA, ARI-STOF / BASI/LEI, GL* below, all within wreath, (cf.S.2555, Thompson 335/339a (obverse die/reverse die). Surperb extremely fine and very rare, unpublished.

These magistrates with month K are published with obverse die 335, but with control AN (cf. Thompson 335g), not **GL*.
