Italy, Lucania, Thourioi (Thurium), (c.320 B.C.), AE 34, (40.46 g), obv. Head of Athena right, wearing crested helmet decorated with Skylla hurling a stone, rev. bull standing right, above **QOURIWN, DAMWN* below, (magistrate), serpent in exergue, (S.-, SNG ANS 1183, HN Italy 1916). Good very fine, mottled multicolor patina, obverse slightly double struck, light corrosion on crest, reverse fields tooled, a very rare and very heavy example of fine style.
