Original photograph style album c1918, probably a one-off, made specially to house the collection of 146 banknotes from the Ottoman Empire of Turkey, State Notes of the Ministry of Finance specimen issues (1914-18), crimson leatherette bound, with gold embossing on the front in Arabic, containing forty two card pages all hand bound into the album, many pages have backing cards with cloth strips at the corners for mounting of banknotes, a few with hand written labels denoting the specimen contained therein. Spine repaired, otherwise fine, in an old slipcase.
Sold together with a contemporary typed list showing the total numbers of notes printed for the series.
