Great Exhibition, London, 1851, prize medal in bronze (77mm) by W.& L.C.Wyon for the Royal Mint, obverse, conjoined busts of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert left, reverse, Britannia seated crowning figure of Industry, attended by figures of Asia, Africa, America and Europe (BHM 2462, Eimer 1456), unnamed. In leather case, edge bruise, two small old cuts on Britannia's right knee, extremely fine.
