Handcrafted fob, in gold (9ct, 4.3g, 30mm) inscribed on reverse 'Castlemaine/Hill Climb/won by/H.A.Parsons/26.1.18'. Very fine.
Harold Albert (Ranji) Parsons (1891-1921) champion motor cyclist, born Richmond, Vic, he set 24 world records between 1914 and 1921 and won championships in four states. He died in 1921 after colliding with a horse during a morning test run in Epping, Vic.
Together with an 'Indian' motor cycles logo badge (pin broken) and photographs of Harold Parsons, including two autographed on back, and one of his memorial at Booroondara Cemetery, Kew.
