Bartolomeo Colleoni Medal, 1940, in oxidised silver (58mm) by Amor (C.1940/2), obverse, HMAS Sydney advancing at full speed with the smoking and disabled Italian cruiser, Bartolomeo Colleoni, in background, reverse, a representation of the plaque presented by the City of Sydney to HMAS Sydney, edge inscribed, 'W.C.Yeoman, Stoker II, O.N.23589'. In case of issue, light hairlines, otherwise toned extremely fine and rare.

Walter Clifford Yeoman, born 15Feb1920 at Cessnock, NSW; joined RAN 19Sep1939 for 12 year engagement; served on HMAS Sydney as Stoker II 27Jan-04Sep1940, Stoker 05Sep1940-31Oct1941, A/Ldg Stoker (Tg) 01Nov-20Nov1941; KIA 20Nov1941; AWM Panel 9 in commemorative area; Plymouth Naval Memorial Panel 58; HMAS Sydney II Memorial, Geraldton, WA.
