BANK OF VICTORIA, first series, five pounds, Geelong ( ) 18( ) No 16573, imprint Perkins Bacon & Co London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate (McD.PFB/17 K/1). Perforations on right, very frail full note, poor but very rare, the only known example of an issued five pounds in private hands.

Sold with Royal Coat of Arms embossed envelope on which is written 'W signed £5 note/ Re C. McMinian/26 Sept (?)/62'.
