Australia, WWI, tribute fob, in gold (9ct, 5.76g, 32x44mm), obverse King's crown above central dome with soldier standing with rifle across chest and Rising Sun hat badge behind with name in ribbon scroll as 'Australia New Zealand Army Corps', around the bottom, 'He Answered His Country's Call', reverse inscribed, 'Presented by/Store Creek Residents/Pte. J.Thompson/56th Bat.' Dents on reverse backing plate, otherwise nearly very fine.
