Australia, WWI, tribute fob, in gold (9ct, 9.06g, 29.5.5x37.5mm), obverse, wreath inscribed in centre with intials, 'AJG', reverse with wreath around and inside is inscribed, 'To/Pte A.J.Garrard/on his return/from the Great War/from Residents of/Black Springs &/district.' Uncirculated.

Arthur John Garrard, farmer, age 20, born at Balaklava, Sth Aust; Enl.15Feb1916 at Burra, Sth Aust; Emb.11Apr1916; served with 48Bn; MIA 11Apr1917 later reported WIA and captured at Reincourt, France on that date and interned as POW at Gef Lager Soltau, Germany; repatriated to England 07Jan1919; RTA 10Nov1919; Disch.03Jan1920.
