Antoninus Pius, (A.D. 138-161), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 148-9, (2.59 g), obv. ANTONINVS AVG PI VS P P IMP II, laureate head to right, rev. TR POT XX COS IIII, Salus seated to left, feeding snake rising from altar and resting right hand on seat, (cf.S.4126, RIC 264, RSC 1023); Lucius Verus, (A.D. 161-169), silver denarius, issued 162, Rome mint, (2.75 g), obv. IMP L AVREL VERVS AVG, bare head to right, rev. Providentia standing to left, holding globe and cornucopiae, around PROV DEOR TR P COS II, (cf.S.5354, RIC 463, RSC 144, BMC 35). Fine - very fine, both scarce. (2)
