S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI, S C across, trophy with shield at base, (S.3224, RIC 586, C.573) (illustrated); another AE As (9.98 g), struck 114-117, obv. traces around IMP CAES NER TRAIANO OPTIMO AVG GER DAC PARTHICO P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate and draped bust right, rev. traces around SENATVS POPVLVSQVE ROMANVS, SC in exergue, two trophies, (S.-, RIC II 681, BMC 1055, C.-). First coin very fine, second nearly fine, both rare. (2)
