Nerva, (A.D. 96-98), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 98, (3.52 g), obv. laureate head of Nerva to right, around IMP NERVA CAES AVG GERM P M TR P II, rev. around IMP II COS IIII P P, Priestly implements, lituus, simpulum, aspergillum and jug, (S.3032, RIC 47, C.95). Minor surface scratches, otherwise nearly extremely fine and scarce.
Ex D.J.Foster Collection and previously from Noble Numismatics Sale 48 (lot 3060) and from Spink and Son, London, with their ticket.
