Palestine, Judaea, King Herod I, (37-4 B.C.), copper prutah, (1.78 g), obv. anchor with inscription, rev. double cornucopiae with caduceus, (S.5534, Hendin 54); Roman Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, (2.90 g), obv. three bound ears of barley rev. libation ladle and date, (year 16 = A.D. 29), (S.5622, Hendin 113); another Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, (2.35 g), obv. lituus surrounded by Greek legend, rev. date in wreath, (year LIS(reversed Z) = 17 = A.D. 30), (S.5623, Hendin 114 var.). All have been cleaned, with weakness on some of the coins, otherwise very good - fine. (3)
