Sicily, Syracuse, (485-479 B.C.), silver tetradrachm (17.28 g), obv. slow quadriga driven right by male charioteer holding goad, above, Nike flying right, crowning horses, dotted border, rev. large size head of Artemis-Arethusa right, hair slightly waved and turned up behind, under a diadem of beads, four dolphins around, **[S*VR]AKO**SIO*N around, (cf.S.914, cf.Boehringer 257E [Dies Obv.V118, Rev. R177E, no specimens noted], cf.Randazzo 432-8 [p.68, Pl.17 different pairs of dies], SNG ANS -). Lightly toned, very fine/nearly very fine and very rare.
