DSO Group of Six: Distinguished Service Order (VRI); Queen's South Africa Medal 1899 (type 3 reverse), - four clasps - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Wittebergen; King's South Africa Medal 1902, - two clasps - South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902; 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19 with MID. The first medal unnamed, Major E. Christophers Imp:Yeo: on second medal, Maj. E. Christophers I.Y. on third medal, Major E. St J. Christophers D.S.O. D. of Corn. L.I. on last three medals. The third medal engraved, all other named medals impressed. Centrepiece of DSO loose, otherwise fine.

Lt Col Edgar Christophers DSO, born 06Mar1860; joined Imperial Yeomanry (East Kent) 1899 as trooper; proceeded to South Africa 1900; promoted Corporal, Sergeant, Quartermaster Sergeant, Sergeant Major; commissioned as Lieutenant 1900; to Captain 1901; 1902 Major 2IC 12th Regt; returned home in command of Imperial Yeomanry; WWI enlisted 1914; served France and Salonika; Lt-Col commanding Northumberland Fusiliers, 1916; died 14Feb1924 while with Education Dept, Accra; buried at Christiansborg, Accra, Ghana.
