The first medal unnamed as issued, 6320 Dvr. C.R.Hackfath, 16/A.S.C. A.I.F. on second medal, 6320 T/Cpl. C.R.Hackfath, 16/A.S.C. A.I.F. on third and fourth medals, 1298 C R Hackfath on fifth to seventh medals, and No 408 W.O.Hackfath C.R. - R.A.A.F. on last medal. The last medal engraved, all other named medals impressed. Very fine - good very fine.

Together with a RAAF Certificate of Appreciation to Wing Commander Charles Ray (sic) Hackfath MBE, signed personally by George Jones, Air Vice Marshall and Chief of the Air Staff, 1st Jan. 1944.

Charles Roy Hackfath, farmer, age 20, born at Goulburn, NSW; Enl.23Mar1915 at Perth, WA; Emb.22May1915; RTA 28Feb1919; Disch.10Jun1919; joined newly founded RAAF 30Jun1923 rising steadily through the ranks; commissioned 01Jan1939 after which he served as CO of 14ARD, 5AD and 2AD; served 27 years in the RAAF retiring with rank of Wing Commander.

With group photo and details and other original documents including training certificates and discharge certificates for WWI dated 10Jun1919 and another dated 31Dec1938 upon receiving his commission.
