Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, (285-246 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, uncertain Cypriot mint (Paphos?), struck 275/4-266/5 B.C., (14.15 g), obv. head of Ptolemy I to right wearing Aegis, **D* behind, rev. eagle to left on thunderbolt with closed wings, **[PTO]LEMAIOU BASILEWS*, with **F* above A; (cf.S.7771 Var., Sv.371 [8 noted, p.58, Pl.IX,19], Meydancikkale Hoard No. 5124-5144 [5143-4, from the same obverse die], SNG Cop. -). Nearly very fine and very rare.
