Italy, Bruttium, Croton (Kroton), (420-390 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm (7.82 grams), obv. eagle standing to left, on olive-branch, head raised and flapping its wings, rev. tripod-lebes with kneck and three handles, KPO to left, in field to right D, (S.472, cf.ACNAC Dewing 509, cf.SNG Munich 1451, SNG ANS 362, BMC 80). Good very fine and rare.
It should be noted that it was with this issue that the transition took place with the K in the city name replacing the archaic letter Q (Koppa).
