Italy, Calabria, Taras, (272-235 B.C.), silver stater, (6.40 grams), obv. warrior in close fitting thorax and hurling short javelin on horse galloping to right, below **FIPPODA in one line, rev. Taras astride a dolphin to left, holding a kantharos and distaff, to right an amphora, **DI behind, **[T] APAS below, (cf.S.375, Vl.904, SNG ANS 1221). Nearly extremely fine.
