GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, one rupee, 1917 'SPECIMEN', signature Gubbay, B/24 000019, overprinted 'SPECIMEN' in blue ink bottom right, perforation left border (P.1s; Jhun.1.1A). Uncirculated and rare.

Serial No. B/24 000017 illlustrated on page 126 of Jhunjhunwalla. Sold with original descriptive folder from the 1970s.
