Description

The Provincial and Suburban Bank Limited, ten pounds, issued at Melbourne, no.03646 not dated c(1879), not signed, appears to be contemporary but not issued as bank failed in 1879, (This note is noted in Vort Ronald, Australian Private Banknote Pedigrees p.222, see illustration of type unissued p.221). Two corners off, horizontal tear, foxed and on backing paper, with rust spots, note heavily creased and with fair edges, fair and rare.
