London Chartered Bank of Australia, one pound, Brisbane, Queensland, dated 1st December 1887 (printed), discordant numbers A 25001 - A50000, unsigned specimen note, perforated 'Specimen B.W. & Co London' in signature field, imprint of Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co Engravers & c London, on paper printed both sides with counterfoil, in pencil above Dec 21 87, (MVR type 2d, similar note to the illustration on p.169, fig.179, this note type also illustrated Vort Ronald, Australian Private Banknote Pedigrees p.172). Nearly uncirculated and very rare.
