Bank of New South Wales, second issue, black proof note on card for twenty pounds, no domicle, N.Z., dated 18--, without serial numbers, imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co. London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate, stamped SPECIMEN in signature block, in pencil at bottom margin '4th May 1862 blank' (L.419; Robb C.26; P.S.149). Has been mounted in the four corners of the back, otherwise extremely fine and very rare.
