Convict tokens, Great Britain, George III, halfpenny, 1799, reverse impressed, 'W.HALL'; also Great Britan, farthing, 1820-37 design, obverse shaved and engraved, 'FOR/A/KEEP/SAKE' with floral decoration punched at sides of A. The first host coin worn nearly smooth, the last with edge bumps, impressions and engraving very fine. (2)
William Hall convicted at Central Criminal Court (The Old Bailey) to seven years transportation. Departed on transport ship, Henry Porcher, on 1 August 1836 and arrived at Van Diemen's Land on 1 April 1837 with 261 other convicts.
