Leonard Gordon Halloran, labourer, age 27, born at Newtown, NSW; Enl.30Jan1941 at Paddington, NSW; Emb.27Jun1941 to Middle East; to 2/101 General Transport Coy 30Jul1942 and ops in support of 9th Divison in North Africa including Allied attacks on El Alamein; RTA 27Feb1943; Emb.16Jul1943 to New Guinea for ops including work with 'Biscuit bombers'; RTA 28May1944; Emb.28May1945 for Borneo; RTA 13Oct1945 without authority; Disch.17Apr1946; throughout his military service this soldier was regularly fined for a variety of reasons including AWL, insubordination, and assault.
