Description

Indonesia - Malay Peninsula, post Shrivajaya Empire, various tin animal coinage 18th century, and maybe much later, a) sea creature, the makara (in Hindu mythology) like a giant hook with dragon head 175x103mm, (weight 215g) (illustrated); b) other tin creatures bird/fish 34x83mm (61.4g); c) crocodile/fish on base 94x58mm (17.9g) most with scale decoration on the sides of the animal types, not noted in Tony Lye's book. Mostly very fine, all rare. (3)
