Together with tribute fob in gold (9ct; 5.2g), reverse inscribed, 'Pres to/J.Rae (sic)/by People of/Campbelltown,/In recognition of services/at/"The Front"/18.10.17.'; also a small circular photo frame pendant in gold (9ct; 31mm; total wt including photos 5.8g), with soldier's photo both sides under plastic, one of John Rea, the other of a young soldier wearing a Light Horse plumed hat.

John Rea, age 26 Farrier, born at Grafton, NSW; Enl.15Apr1915 at Liverpool, NSW; 06Sep1915 WIA, GSW right thigh, Gallipoli; 22Nov1916 Field Court Martial at Etaples for desertion; verdict of not guilty but guilty of AWL and sentenced to three years prison, this commuted to two years hard labour; 13Dec1916 sentence suspended; 29Dec1917 WIA, GSW right arm, France; RTA 21Jul1917 arriving 19Sep1917; Disch.15Nov1917 as Medically Unfit.
