Colony of Victoria, a group of documents relating to the Chiltern Sons of Freedom Mining Company, including Consolidated Miner's Right, No.24, on vellum, issued to Henry Nickless of Chiltern, Manager of the Sons of Doma Consols, at Beechworth Chiltern, 27th Feby 1874, to be in force until 25th Febry 1875 and representing 80 Miner's Rights as endorsed on back hereof, handwritten names listed alphabetically on back, signed by Daniel Oliver front and back; Miner's Rights issued to the Chiltern Sons of Freedom Mining Company, Beechworth Chiltern, dated 12th April 1876, Nos 97003-97062 consecutive run of 60 attached together with pin; another, No.84936, issued to The Bank of New South Wales, Melbourne, 24th April 1876; Lien Ticket from the Chiltern Sons of Freedom Mining Company to the Bank of New South Wales, upon its Alluvial Mining Claim for sixty men in the Valley of the Black Dog Creek as security for due payment of £7,000 owing to the bank, dated 8th March 1875, with attached Certificate for Claim and Certificate of Amalgamation, both dated 21st January 1875; Conditions of Sale between the Bank of New South Wales and John Alston Wallace of Melbourne, for the machinery and mining plant and chattels of the Chiltern Sons of Freedom Mining Company, dated 3rd August 1876; Assignment from the Bank of New South Wales to The Hon J.A.Wallace M.L.C., of Machinery Plant and Chattels of the Chiltern Sons of Freedom Mining Company, dated 1877. With folds and stains on some, otherwise mostly good very fine, and scarce as a group. (67 items)
