Caracalla, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 203, Rome mint, (3.98 g), obv. laureate bust drapted and cuirassed to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Roma standing to left, holding Victory and reversed spear, around PONT TR P VI COS, (S.6856, RIC 69, RSC 499); another issued 212-213, Rome mint, (3.15 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Moneta walking to left holding scales and cornucopiae, around MONETA AVG, (cf.S.6821, RIC 224, RSC 165); another issued 212-213, Rome mint, (2.79 g), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Sarapis standing facing, head left, holding wreath and sceptre, around PM TR P XX COS IIII PP, (cf.S.6829, RIC 289c, RSC 382). Toned, nearly fine - very fine, scarce. (3)
