Cimmerian Bosporos, Thrace, Black Sea Area, Pantikapaion, (350-300 B.C.), AE 20, (6.55 g), obv. Bearded Pan head to left, wearing ivy wreath, rev. lion head to left, sturgeon to left below, around **P A N*, (S.1701, BMC 17-19, SNG Stancomb 557-559 [Pl.XXV], SNG BM 890-893 [Pl.XXXIV], SNG Cop.35-36 [Pl.1]). Very fine and very scarce.
Ex Alan Jordan Collection and purchased from Noble Numismatics Sale 77 (lot 3146).
