The Bank of Australasia, proof one pound, uniface, black and white, Portland, 14th July 1863, imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co. London, Patent Hardened Steel Plate., 'June 16th 1863' added in pencil in lower margin, SPECIMEN stamped below in 'Manager' area (MVR.2a). Some staining, otherwise very fine and rare.
