Scotland, The Union Bank of Scotland Limited, one pound, uncut sheet of four printer's proofs, all Glasgow or Edinburgh, 1st March 1949, A/37 900001, A/37 901001, A/38 925001, A/38 926001, notations 'Correct as 1st Nos. for 25,000 notes of each serie 3.10.49' across part of central margin, three vertical lines of small punch holes and bankstamps on back (P.S816a; D.42-1). Some mount marks on back, otherwise extremely fine. (4)
