Commodus, (A.D. 177-192), AE dupondius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 183, (13.28 g), obv. radiate head of Commodus to right, around M COMMODVS ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around PROV DEOR TR P VI IMP IIII COS III P P, S C across field, Providentia standing to left, holding long sceptre and baton pointing to globe at her feet, (S.5845, RIC 317, cf.C.628, BMC 465). Light brown patina, nearly very fine/fine and scarce.
