Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D 14), AE As, Spain, Tarraco mint, (8.11 g), struck after 2 B.C., obv. laureate head of Augustus right, around [TI] CAES AVG PON[T MAX TRIB POT], rev. head of Drusus right facing head of Livia left, around [DRVSVS] CAES TRIB P[OT IVL AVGUSTA], C V T between, (S.-, RPC 233); silver fouree denarius, Rome mint, issued c.19 B.C., P.Petronius Turpilianus moneyer, (3.28 g), obv. bare head of Augustus to right around CAESAR [AV]GVSTVS, rev. TVRPILIAN[VS III VIR] around, Tarpeia, long-haired facing half buried in shields with hands raised, (S.1639, RIC 299, C.494, BMC 297). Toned, nearly fine - fine and scarce, the second rare as a plated example. (2)
