Queen Victoria, 1851 dated Crown 'Patina' retrospective pattern series. Obverse: Wyon's ornate portrait of Queen left - the Gothic head. Reverse: word 'MODEL' to denote experimental nature of these patterns, 30 pcs in copper, 40 pcs in golden alloy, 35 pcs in aluminium, 40 pcs in nickel silver, 40 pieces in platinum coloured alloy. Only 100 pcs were made in platinum coloured alloy and only 75 pcs in the other metals.
