Thrace, Island off Thrace, Thasos, (c.510-490 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.35 gm), obv. naked ithyphallic Satyr (archaic style) in a kneeling running attitude carrying off protesting nymph, rev. quadripartite incuse square, (S.1358, BMC 12, McClean 4200 [Pl.151, 24]). Nearly very fine with good facial detail, very scarce.
Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 65 (lot 1758). Asyut hoard suggests the type to have chronology before 485 B.C.
