Siculo-Punic, mint of the camp, (c.320-310 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.24 gm), obv. wreathed head of Persephone to left, wearing triple pendant earring and necklace, four dolphins swimming around, rev. horse's head to left, palm tree behind, Punic legend, "M" (The Camp) below, border of dots on obverse, straight border on reverse, (S.6434, Hunter 4 [same obverse die], cf.SNG Lockett 1054, Jenkins SNR 56, [Series 3d] 245 [dies, O77/R207]). Attractive old cabinet toning, good very fine/nearly extremely fine, of superb artistic style by a master engraver, scarce.
Same dies as Hamburger, sale 98 (1933), lot 459, Jenkins notes only two examples from these dies.
