John Algar Kelly, farmer, age 32, born Adelaide, South Australia; Enl.19Aug1914; previous service, 9 years in Colonial L.H. and 5 years in Rifle Club; 25Aug1914 Trooper; 26Aug1914 Trumpeter; 09May1915 to MEF Gallipoli; 07Aug1915 bomb wound right foot, slight; 17May1916 died of small pox and broncho pneumonia at Sohag Hospital, Egypt; buried at Sohag Coptic Cemetery and later exhumed and buried at grave A.13 Minia War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
