Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 3 reverse), - four clasps - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902. 184 Pte J.H.Johnson. Tasmanian I.B. Impressed. Extremely fine.
Ex I.S.Wright, September 2007. Together with metal title in brass, 2/TIB (2nd Tasmanian Imperial Bushmen); walking stick with silver embellishments, one engraved, 'Presented to Trooper J.H.Johnson/2nd T.I.B./Returned 15.6.02'; Boer War utility pocket knife (knife, fork and spoon attachments) crudely engraved, 'J.H.J.184.T.I.B.'; pipe; contemporary photo album containing mainly family portraits; other various family member photos and documents re WW2 service and includes documents for his son, Merton Lawrence Johnson, particularly his Certificate of Service in RANR and other service documents and his Training Log Book; J H Johnson's other personal papers including his Will and greeting cards from the Boer War, one to Dear Mother and the other to Near (sic) Sister.
