Palestine, a collection of Biblical related coins, illustrated coins Procurator of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, under Tiberius, (A.D. 26-36), copper prutah, (1.92 grams), obv. lituus surrounded by Greek inscription, rev. uncertain date within wreath, (S.5623, H.1342-4); Judaea, First Revolt, (A.D. 66-70), copper issue eighth unit medium bronze, AE 20, struck year 4 = A.D. 69-70, (6.26 grams), obv. chalice, around in Hebrew `For the redemption of Zion`, rev. lulav flanked by etrog on either side, Hebrew legend around `year four`, (S.5646, H.1369); Second Revolt or Bar Cochba War, (A.D. 132-135), medium bronze coinage, AE 26, (9.75 grams), undated issue of year 3 struck A.D. 134-5, obv. legend `For the Freedom of Jerusalem' vine leaf, all within a border of dots, rev. palm tree of seven branches, below Hebrew legend `Shim`on', (cf.S.5687, H.1437); other bronze issues of Hasmonian rulers, John Hyrcanus, Alexander Jannaeus etc. (7); Herod I, Herod Archelaus, Herod Agrippa I, First Revolt (3), Second Revolt (4), Procurators a wide range of governors (8), city issues (4).
