Paeonia, Kingdom of, Patraos, (c.340-315 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.54 grams), obv. head of Apollo to right, with laureate, rev. horseman spearing fallen enemy, who holds shield, around traces of *[PAT]RAOU*, ME monogram behind horse, (S.1520, Paeonian Hoard 416-7 [same dies], BMC 6, cf.Weber 2232). Scarce and unusual obverse die, nearly extremely fine and very scarce.
