Sicily, Syracuse, (c.440-430 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.26 grams), obv. quadriga to right, Nike flying above crowning horses, in exergue pistrix (sea serpent), rev. head of Artemis-Arethusa with diadem to right, around four dolphins, traces of **SURAKOSION* around, (cf.S.925, Boeh. 589 [V.291/R99]). Lightly toned, some surface roughness, otherwise very fine.
