MACINTOSH AND DEGRAVES, Tasmania silver shilling 1823 (A.680). Deep grey tone with underlying brilliance in fields, rims knocked in several places on both sides otherwise attractive good extremely fine and very rare, especially in this condition.

Ex Nobleman Collection (Baron Philippe de Ferrari la Renotiere, Sotheby London March 1922, lot 715 ú28) and H.A. Parsons Collection (Glendinings 1954, lot 1055, ú46) with ticket described as "Brill. proof"
