Third issue, proof five pounds, uniface, Napier, 1st Feby. 1881, imprint of Perkins Bacon & Co London Patent Hardened Steel Plate, Manager area with rectangular cut out, 'to this 30th April/81' added in pencil in centre (Robb.M.346b; L.525; P.S357). Remnants of glue stains on back in corners, otherwise very fine.
