First issue, proof five pounds, uniface, Wellington, undated, imprint of Perkins, Bacon & Co. London, SPECIMEN stamped horizontally in Manager area, 'December 1872' added in pencil bottom margin (Robb.J.141a; L.491; P.S292). Good very fine.
