ROYAL NAVAL AIR SERVICE, Armoured Car Division, collar badge WWI; Armoured Corps sweetheart badge in silver ( enamelled Rising Sun badge on tank); A.I.F. Totally and Permanently Disabled Soldiers Association enamelled badge (KC) no 118 on reverse. First badge is early prong attachment type and scarce. The last badge has a small section of enamel missing from scroll. Very fine. (3)
The Royal Naval Armoured Car Division was established in October 1914 as a unit of R.N.A.S. to provide support for its aircraft. Three squadrons served in Russia from 1915 - 1918. A handful of Australians served in the Division including at least one who served with it in Russia.
