John Ernest Towers, aged 44, Enl.27Jan1916 at Sydney Town Hall Recruiting Depot, Emb.05Jul1916, WIA France 03Jun1917 GSW head, Disch.02May1918, medically unfit, disability age and GSW head. Together with centre disc in copper from an I.D. bracelet engraved, "5035 / Pte J.Towers / B. Coy. 19th Batt. / A.I.F."; Returned from Active Service Badge numbered 41979; sterling silver award plaque by Fattorini & Sons, Bradford, engraved, "Presented / To / Mr J E Towers / By the Members of the / Great Horton Liberal Club / For Services Rendered as Secretary / 1896."; Peace Medallion 1919; South Africa Union 1910 commemorative medallion in white metal. Copy of particulars of service in the A.I.F. and lid of delivery box for Victory Medal.
