Description

New England Airways Limited, Lismore, flight ticket no.1348, 10 September 1932, with attached two Queensland Adhesive Duty Stamps of one penny each, both written over with date, 9.9.32, with photo depiction of Ryan Monoplane, City of Lismore. Small piece missing at bottom left corner and water stain at bottom right corner, otherwise good very fine and scarce historical aviation item.

New England Airways established on 1 January 1931 operating Lismore - Brisbane and Brisbane - Sydney service, purchased assets of Queensland Air Navigation in late 1931. British Pacific Trust purchased a 51% holding in 1934 and the company was restructured to become Airlines of Australia on 3 October 1935.
