Together with miniature WWI pair, swing mounted; Masonic Lodge medals comprising, Past Master's jewel in 9ct gold (approx 30gms) and enamel with six point diamond, inscribed on reverse, 'Pres To / Wor Bro T J Brown / As a token of esteem / From the Members / Crimea Lodge / No.432 / 12-9-38', in case; Masonic degree jewel; Masonic Mark medal in bronze (24mm) for United Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Victoria, reverse AL5899. Lieutenant Thomas James Brown, born Nar Nar Goon, Victoria, previous service as Lieutenant in Senior Cadets 1911-12; Enl.02May1916 in 32 Bn; Emb.19Sep1916 to England; attended Lewis Gun School, Tidworth; to 8 Trg Bn 16Dec1916; to France 25Apr1917, A/Sgt; No 3 School of Instruction, Tidworth 28Oct1917; No 5 Officer Cadet Bn, Cambridge 07Dec1917; qualified for commission 03May1918; appt 2/Lt AIF 01Jun1918; to France 29Bn 11Jun1918; 05Aug1918 suffered badly injured leg when horse he was holding while tank column passed was startled, shied and fell into a ditch rolling onto Lt Brown's leg; transfer to 32 Bn 12Oct1918; to Lt 31Oct1918; RTA 18Dec1918; Disch.15Mar1919 medically unfit.
